3. “Fancy ketchup” is an actual USDA grade, and the highest grade. Ketchups are rated on color, consistency, defects, and flavor.

5. The first candy produced by a machine was Necco Wafers. A guy named Oliver Chase made them with a lozenge cutting machine in 1847.
