If you’ve got an old iPhone with TikTok on it, you might want to toss it up on eBay. It might pay off those student loans. (???)
President Trump signed an order this week delaying the TikTok ban for 75 days. But legal experts aren’t sure what could happen if he changed his mind, or if the next president wanted to fine companies retroactively.
They’d potentially be on the hook for BILLIONS, so Apple and Google aren’t risking it. As of this morning, it still wasn’t on their app stores.
You can use TikTok if you already had it on your phone, but you can’t download it. And people are trying to cash in by listing their old phones on eBay for CRAZY amounts, like $25,000.
One person posted their iPhone 15 Pro for $5 million “or best offer.” (I bet they’d take $4 million.)
No one’s buying them. A bunch are listed for more like $2,000, and it doesn’t look like people are even willing to pay that. If you’re that addicted to TikTok, you probably had it on your phone already.
None of the listings we saw had any bids. But hey, it can’t hurt to try.
