Arby’s Double Beef ‘N Cheddar Is Called “Salad” This Week

Friday was Quitter’s Day, when people were most likely to abandon their New Year’s resolution.  But if you want to PRETEND you’re still sticking to your diet, the good folks at Arby’s have you covered.

They’re running a promo in five cities this week called “New Year, Same You” and just added SALAD to their menu, but not really.  (???)

They added three menu items that sound healthy but aren’t.  They’re just fake names for stuff they already have.

If you step up to the counter and order a “Salad with Dressing” this week, you’ll get a Double Beef ‘N Cheddar sandwich, a “Green Smoothie” gets you a milkshake . . . and “Steamed Vegetables” gets you curly fries.

The idea is you can cheat, but get around it on a technicality.  If anyone asks, you can say, “All I had for lunch was a salad and some steamed vegetables.”  And technically, you’re not lying.

They’re only doing it at five locations in Cleveland, Las Vegas, Miami, Chicago, and Atlanta.

If you go to any other Arby’s, you’ll still have to tell your spouse that all you had for lunch was a big bag of saturated fat.
