It’s National Candy Corn Day.
For people who love Candy Corn with every fiber of their being, this day is an exciting lead-up to Halloween when Candy Corn will be abundant.
For everyone else it’s – Wednesday. The Wednesday with the highest likelihood of you having to deal with Candy Corn enthusiasts, and reject their wretched offerings.
Every year, 35 million pounds of Candy Corn are consumed worldwide. That’s about 9 billion pieces. Of course, there are different ways to eat Candy Corn, and I’m not talking about throwing back handfuls at a time.
According to a recent poll, 57% of Candy Corn fans eat the whole piece in one bite, 28% start with the narrower white tip . . . while 15% begin with the wider yellow end. (For more Candy Corn fun, you can revisit some silly social media quips about it, here.)
