Five Random Facts for Friday

Here are some random facts for you.

1.  More people have walked on the moon (12) than have scored an earned run off legendary New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera in the postseason (11).

2.  The woman who invented the chocolate chip cookie was Ruth Wakefield.  She sold the recipe to Nestle in the 1930s in exchange for a lifetime supply of chocolate.

3.  Cameron Diaz and Snoop Dogg went to the same school in Long Beach, California, and she says she’s pretty sure she bought weed from him.

4.  It seems like there have been a lot of plane crashes recently, but still, the odds of dying in a plane crash are 1 in 13 million.

You’re about 2,200 times more likely to die in a car accident than you are in a plane crash.  So, in other words, it’s WAY more dangerous to drive to the airport than to get on a flight.

5.  Biscotti comes from the Latin words “bis” and “coctum,” which means “baked twice.”
