The city of Bend, Oregon is hoping someone made EYE CONTACT with the vandal who has been sticking GOOGLY EYES on everything in town, including signs, statues, and other artwork.
It’s getting so out of hand that the city made a social media post about it, and begged the perpetrator to KNOCK IT OFF.
They shared some photos, and said, “The googly eyes placed on the various art pieces around town might give you a chuckle, [but] it costs money to remove them with care to not damage the art. Let’s stay away from adhesives, graffiti, and all things that can damage the art.” They say there’s been at least $1,500 in damage so far.
Most of the comments poked fun at the local government for going after the person who did this, but since there IS actual damage happening, the person (or people) responsible COULD face charges if they’re caught.
