Our Preferred Method of Holding Hands Is Changing?

Here’s something you probably weren’t thinking about today.  What’s your preferred way of HOLDING HANDS with someone, assuming that is something you do from time to time?

In a poll, 30% of people say they prefer holding hands with interlocked fingers, 20% would rather do it with cupped hands, and 38% say they’re fine with both equally.  4% said “neither.”

The results are similar for both men and women, but they are very different depending on AGE.

Holding hands with interlocked fingers is much more popular among younger generations than older.  38% of Gen Z like that method, compared to just 17% of Boomers.  On the flipside, 15% of Gen Z prefer the cupped hands method, compared to 29% of Boomers.

So is this a change that just happens as you get older?  Or is the preferred method of holding hands shifting over time?
