Five Random Facts for Friday

Here are some random facts for you.

1.  The New York Yankees and the L.A. Dodgers haven’t met in the World Series since the Dodgers defeated the Yankees in 1981, but it’s actually the most common match-up of all time.  The two teams have met in the World Series 11 times, the Yankees have won eight of them, and the Dodgers won three.

2.  Woodrow Wilson is the only president who earned a doctorate.  He got a Ph.D. in history and political science from Johns Hopkins University.

3.  The “DC” in DC Comics originally stood for Detective Comics.  So the full name of their company is technically Detective Comics Comics.

4.  There’s never been a U.N. Secretary General from North America.

5. The fear of long words is called Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia
