An employee at Spirit Halloween has come out with a list of mistakes people make when shopping at their store. Here are some things you might be doing wrong . . .
1. Going straight for the cheap stuff. If you only plan to wear the costume once, it’s fine to cheap out. But investing a little more in the higher-quality items can make it something you’ll re-wear down the line.
2. Buying makeup and prosthetic kits without removal products. Most Halloween store makeup isn’t top quality. And it can be really hard to remove at the end of the night with just soap and water.
3. Not browsing the entire store. The employee says to walk around the entire store because you can find hidden gems everywhere. The checkout line in particular has lots of fun novelty items.
4. Only coming into the store once per season. Stores get new merchandise delivered every week, so chances are you’ll find something new every time you go into the store.
5. Forgetting that they stay open after Halloween. There are usually clearance sales on November 1st and 2nd.
