Spicer created a tremendous backlash when he suggested that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had committed atrocities worse than Hitler’s.
“I mistakenly used an inappropriate, insensitive reference to the Holocaust,” Spice said. “I apologize. It was a mistake to do that.”
